Locations SDK Upgrade Guide

This guide provides information about how to upgrade to the latest Swrve Locations SDK. For information about the changes that have been made in each Locations SDK release, see Locations SDK Release Notes.

Request a copy of the latest Locations SDK from your Customer Success Manager at support@swrve.com.

If you’re upgrading the native SDK as well, you should to update the version in the the SwrveLocationSDK.podspec file (iOS) or the Swrve library dependency in the build.gradle file (Android). For more information, see the Location SDK Integration Guide.


Version 2.0

To upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v2.0:

Android

  • Add the following line to the repositories section of build.gradle:

  • Add the following line to the dependencies section of build.gradle:

  • The Locations SDK is now configured with allowBackup=false in AndroidManifest.xml. If your app requires backup, you may need to override this with a tools:overrideLibrary.

Version 1.3.1

To upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v1.3.1:

To improve the Swrve Locations SDK performance and battery use with this release, Swrve recommends upgrading to Swrve iOS SDK version 4.9.2.


Version 1.3

No code changes are required to upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v1.3.


Version 1.2.2

No code changes are required to upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v1.2.2.


Version 1.2.1

To upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v1.2.1:

Version 1.1

No code changes are required to upgrade to Swrve Locations SDK v1.1.
